Twitter.com – Follow Us! Looks Like 3D isn’t just reserved for the Avatars and the 300’s of the film industry — Baz Luhrmann’s Great Gatsby is the next Hollywood project to go 3 dimentional! Hey Everyone I’m Chelsea Cannell and your watching Clevver Movies! The 3d train just keeps on chuggin’ and it definitely has no shortage of Hollywood film makers who want to take a ride. The Latest? Mr. Baz Luhrmann. Luhrmann is gearing up for pre-production of his long gestating take on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” … and now news is breaking that not only will it be shot in 3D but it will also be shot in Australia. Despite the fact that there have been reports the director was having second thoughts about the project, he is now apparently gearing up for a production start in august. Apparently Luhrmann will be shooting at Fox Studios Sydney after being given tax incentives and an irresistible deal with the New South Wales Government. It’ll be his second return to the studio down under, after having shot both Australia and Moulin Rouge on the lot. The film already has Tobey McGuire, Leonardo Dicaprio and Carey Mulligan Attached to the character driven drama ….. So the question isn’t about the casting but rather should this film really be in 3d? We’d love to hear what you guys think about this recent development so make sure to sound off in our comment section.
